“Write the story you wish you could read.”
It started with wishful thinking: an aquatic adventure where I was the hero who saved my classmates.
It grasped at the impossible: a Shire horse that could compete with the fastest Thoroughbreds on the racetrack.
It grew with inspiration: who would I be if I lived in the world I most adored?
And then, as I began to climb the steps carved by the great fantasy writers of my time, it became a seed of something truly my own.
In the decades that followed, that seed sprouted—not into a tree, but into a bed of hostas thriving in the shade of my various careers, quietly sprouting new ideas and new stories waiting patiently for their moment in the sun.
Today, those stories are growing into works I hope will bring others as much joy as they bring me. I bring to them my years as a professional journalist and technical writer, my fascination with story, and the wildest dreams that have whispered their way into my heart.
These are the stories that I wish I could read. I can’t wait to share them with you all.
